Bishop Curtis E. Edmonds, Sr.
Bishop Edmonds is and has been the pastor, teacher, spiritual leader, and friend here at St. Mark for fifteen years.
On September 29, 2007, he was elevated and consecrated to the office of Bishop of Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church.
Under his dynamic leadership, St. Mark membership has grown from 350 to over 2,000.
He earned the following degrees: B.A. - Sociology - Norfolk State University, M. Div. from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor
School of Theology of Virginia Union University in Richmond, and D. Min. from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
He and his wife, Evelyn, are the proud parents of two successful adult sons: Curtis Edmonds, Jr., a human resources recruitment manager at Norfolk Southern,
and Dr. Kelton Edmonds, a history professor at California University. He has been doubly blessed with two multi-talented and gifted grandchildren, Curtis and Kenedy.
