Bishop Daniel Robertson, Jr. is the Senior Pastor of Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries in Richmond, Virginia. His visionary leadership has taken the congregation from a membership of 25 to well over 4,000 in a span of 11 years. With over 18 years in ministry, he is often described as a coach, motivational speaker, teacher and a leader among leaders.
A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Bishop Robertson earned a bachelor's degree in biology from James Madison University, a second bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the Medical College of Virginia and a master's of divinity from Virginia Union University. While Bishop Robertson remains a registered pharmacist, he answered the call of the Lord to leave his secular job and commit to full-time ministry in the early 90's. Bishop Robertson is ordained by God under the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship where he also serves as the State Bishop of Virginia and the First Assistant to Bishop Neil C. Ellis, the 2nd Presiding Bishop of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.
Bishop Robertson is a proficient author of two best selling books on leadership. The first, "Plug In," is a guide for pastors and church leaders revealing core principles for creating and maintaining a successful ministry. His second book, "Coaching: A Kingdom Agenda," is a poignant work that provokes the reader to literally mine the gold out of other leaders while simultaneously building a strong organization. Understanding the importance of a consistent impetus for change, Bishop Robertson compiled several scriptures and quotations to pen a motivational calendar entitled, "Thoughts to Walk By."
A much sought after speaker, Bishop Robertson is known for his relevant and practical teaching with a passion for empowering God's people to dominate by applying the Biblical principles of holiness, excellence, faith and prosperity. Bishop Robertson and his wife Co-Pastor Elena Robertson, are the blessed parents of three children: Daniel III, Charity Joy, and David Jeremiah.
