Bishop Turner started preaching at the age of 16, as a youth minister at the Angelic COGIC in Norfolk, VA. He left there when God called him out to go to Bibleway Temple, assisting Bishop Rogers. There he stayed until he began his own ministry in Portsmouth, Virginia and then got married to Pearlie Daniels Turner where they began to start ministry together here in the Hampton Roads area. Bishop Turner has a heart for people and he works hard outreach ministry. He makes an honest effort to reach and help as many people as he can, one person at a time and one day at a time. Together with his wife he fed and housed many people.
He has worked in the jail ministry in the Porstmouth and Newport News area. He has been on the radio spreading God's good news and has helped many churches that needed assistance with services and brought pastors in the ministry. His vision is to lead as many as he can to Christ and to save the lost at any cost. One of his continued visions that he is waiting for God to manifest is to go on TV and with God's divine guidance he will soon attain that. Now along with Bishop Turner he has his wife by his side that helps with ministry and is pastoring at Temple of Praise Outreach where God is blessing them each day with some wonderful members. His wife began preaching at the age of 13 and is still preaching strong today after going through many obstacles. God is yet blessing and working miracles. Her words along with his are, "God has raised us for such a time as this".
