Reverend Kim William Bondes, son of the late James and Thelma Bondes, is a native of Hampton, Virginia. He has been married to the former Luetishia Singleton since November 1977 and they have four children: Kimberly Joy (William Turner), Kesha Renee, Kristal Miranda (Terrance Burrell), and Kristopher William. Pastor and First Lady Bondes are the proud grandparents of five boys and one girl. Pastor Bondes is the owner of Abundant Joy Daycare Center located in the Dutton area of Mathews County.
Reverend Bondes joined New Hope Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia in 1974 and served as a deacon under the ministry of the late Rev. Glenwood Melton. Reverend Bondes was ordained as a minister of the gospel in 1984 under Pastor Ivan T. Harris. In 1985, Reverend Bondes was installed as the 18th pastor of Zion Baptist Church in Mathews County, Virginia. May 2010 will mark Reverend Bondes' 25th anniversary as pastor of Zion.
As the pastor of Zion, Reverend Bondes is a leader who has a heart for the people of God. His favorite song is "Father, I Stretch My Hand to Thee".
