Elder Micheal D. Green was born and raised in Hampton, VA. In his academic carrer, he attended Hampton Public Schools, Thomas Nelson Community College, and Deeper Life School of Theology in Hampton, VA. The youngest son of Bishop and Mrs. Samuel L. Green, Jr., Elder Micheal Green recieved the Lord Jesus at the age of 16, and he has been ministering to the body of Christ ever since.
In 1993, at the age of 23, he offically accepted his call to ministry and has been an ordained elder in the Church of God in Christ since August 1996. He is the founder of Word and Power Ministries, established in 2001 as an evenagelistic ministry geared to feliver and empower people though the preached word of God. He was elevated to the office of pastor of the New St St. Mark COGIC in January 2004, and he and his lovely wife, Mrs. Candace Lavern Green, his childhood sweetheart, have worked untiringly to empower the communiaty to which they have been assigned. Armed with his faith in God, and his loving companion, Elder Green has sought to "Build God a House Once Soul at a Time."
