Reverend Steffond Swilley, Sr. he is the sixth of seven children born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. This is where he received his formal education in the Saginaw public school system. After graduating from high school he joined the United States Army achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class and retired after twenty years of faithful military service. He received his calling to the gospel ministry in 1998 and was licensed to preach on May 21, 2000 at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church Petersburg, Virginia.
He has earned two associate degrees from Central Texas College located in Killeen Texas; one in General Studies and another in Criminal Justice. He also earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration from Saint Leo University, Saint Leo Florida. Rev. Swilley also graduated from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, Richmond, Virginia earning a Master's of Divinity degree. Currently he is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry Degree at Virginia University of Lynchburg and a Master's of Science degree in Patient Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University where he serves as a Chaplain Intern.
He currently serves as an Associate Minister for Mount Olivet Baptist Church, located in Petersburg Virginia; serving in many capacities upon joining the church in 1991.
Rev. Swilley is married to the former Deadra Spivey, and they are the proud parents of five children Steffond, Steffonie, Courtney, Isaiah and Deja.
Rev. Swilley is a dynamic speaker, preacher and teacher with a heart for God's people. He is committed to enlightening and empowering God's people for his purpose.
