Rev. Tyrone Jackson, Jr. is an anointed, uniquely gifted and powerful preacher, teacher and leader who is dedicated to the cause of Christ with a great concern for the welfare of humanity. Pastor Jackson is the proud and esteem Pastor of First Baptist Church Campostella (FBCC), Norfolk, Virginia. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, he is the only child born to Tyrone Jackson, Sr. and Winnifred G. Jackson. In 1987, he and his mother relocated to Petersburg, Virginia, where he was educated in the Petersburg Public School System, graduating from Petersburg High School in 1997. Rev. Jackson believing in higher education, went to further his education at John Tyler Community College, Chester, Virginia, receiving an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Mortuary Science in 2001. While attending John Tyler Community College, he began his employment as a Funeral Director Trainee at Tucker's Funeral Home in Petersburg, Virginia. In his quest for higher education, Rev. Jackson went on to receive a Bachelor of Theology degree in 2003 from Richmond Virginia Seminary, Richmond, Virginia and his Master's of Divinity from Virginia Union University Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology, Richmond, Virginia in May 2009.
Under his leadership motto, "Doing It God's Way – We are A Godly Church, A Giving Church, and A Growing Church", the church has witnessed tremendous increase in membership and ministries. He has a genuine passion for teaching the Word of God. It is Pastor Jackson's belief that he can do all things through Christ and with God all things are possible. His words to live by: "Just trust and believe, and it will come to pass".
